Love is also a very strange thing.  Some of us have this perfect picture of supreme unity with another person, yet some of us can't tell the difference between love and lust.  Love is neither,  love is charity, caring for another person for no reason what so ever, unexplainable...

The angel of the Lord declared unto Mary.

Et concepit de Spiritu Sancto.

And she conceived by the Holy Spirit.

 

Ecce ancilla Domini.

Behold the handmaid of the Lord.

Fiat mihi secundum verbum tuum.

Be it done to me according to thy word.

 

Et verbum caro factum est.

And the Word was made flesh.

Et habitavit in nobis.

And dwelt among us.

 

Ora pro nobis, sancta Dei Genetrix.

Pray for us, O holy Mother of God.

Ut digni efficiamur promissionibus Christi.

That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

 

Oremus.  Gratiam tuam, quaesumus, Domine, mentibus nostris infunde, ut qui, angelo nuntiante, Christi Filii tui incarnationem cognovimus, per Passionem eius et crucem ad resurrectionis gloriam perducamur; per eumdem Christum Dominum nostum. Amen.

 

Let us pray.  Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into out hearts; that we, to whom the Incarnation of Christ Thy Son was made known by the message on an angel, may by His passion and cross, be brought to the glory of His Resurrection; through the same Christ our Lord.  Amen.
